The correct pronunciation is, yes you guessed it, ‘My-ah’.
Miah is actually short for Sumayah, which has an Arabic origin and means “of high status”. Shiny, I know.
Miah was born in Virginia and raised in Cairo, Egypt. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology and is working on an MBA in Marketing. Miah moonlights as a graphic designer and illustrator offering design services for print and the web. She also writes short stories and articles when ever she gets the inspiration to do so.
Miah has been taking photos of whatever she can, way before she got her hands on the mi-Kon D40x. She lives on her mi-book (the black one read: don’t hate), and coffee, and is a serious Apple enthusiast.
